Effective Laboratory Supplies is committed to transformation and embracing the principles of Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) set out by the South African government. In 2017, the company created a B-BBEE Employee Trust to benefit employees recognized as Previously Disadvantaged Individuals (PDI). The recipients of the trust have not only received an annual dividend, but the equity transaction has resulted in 51% black ownership of the business, with 30% of that ownership being held by black women.
